Looking at EPDs for solar panels.
Is anyone able to point me at a resource that explains where the biogenic carbon comes from in PV modules?
I'm mostly just looking at the fossil carbon, but I'm interested in the process and how this is worked out so any pointers much appreciated!

We did some masonry reinforcement to strengthen the existing concrete lintel over the bay window. I think Toby has some fun crack monitors on that!
We looked at a few different options for the bay window - particularly the roof support - but ended up removing it for simplicity.
There’s some details in the structure to support the EWI framing around the old bay, but probs only things I find interesting! 🙃
Enjoy! It’s a good one.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. It’s always the ones where you wish you’d trusted your first impression!
Stopping work if you’ve still got outstanding work for them, asking for payment before sending out work, and a good debt collector as a last resort have been my strategies in the past.

Help! I need stories. If you have retrofitted your home, what was the biggest problem you came across? And if you haven’t, what’s stopping you? I’ll start… 1/2 #retrofit #energyefficiency
We did our retrofit in stages (as we had the money) but it was difficult to find contractors willing to do the small parcels of work. Even though I was in the privileged position of knowing quite a few experienced contractors, they were generally not that interested in the small fiddly packages!

Oh no! I’ve missed out on in person tickets to the PHT conference. I held of buying them until I’d started at my new job, and now they’re all gone 😩
I’ll still be at the AECB conference though. Phew! 🏡👷🏻♀️

There was a significant reduction in stress in my life the day I realised that (most of) what I thought were glass chopping boards were actually glass worktop protectors (for hot pans), not to be used for chopping!
And in bigger news, I’m excited to announce I’ve started a new position of Assiciate at Momentum Engineers in the Bath office.
I’ll still being doing all things PassivHaus & low-carbon, just with the added capacity for larger projects!
If you’d like my new contact details, drop me a message.
New year, new account, new job. Seems like it’s time for an intro post here…
Small things first: I’m moving over from Twitter and I’ll be solely posting on here from now on (and also on LinkedIn). Do give me a follow!
There are still places to join us today to hear the team talk about the design & construction of Goldfinch Create & Play - the UK’s first #PassivHaus play cafe.
4pm today. 🏡
Don’t miss out!
