It’s a good year for US middle distance running!

I just want to say that I called that Whittni Morgan win on two different text threads. I have witnesses.

Ok it does appear three American men have held the world record in the steeplechase. The last one was in 1952.

I did a quick look and don’t see an American ever holding a world record in the 3000, steeple, 5000 or 10000.

Has it ever happened?

When is the last time an American held a world record in 3k or up?
