sometimes the AI is right, but you have to already know the info is correct to know that it's right. and people on ebay can definitely be wrong also, but I'd still trust the 20 people selling vintage dishes on ebay over whatever the AI spits out

what i find interesting about this is the same thing that always comes up with AI- a lot of the tools AI says it's now giving you have already existed. but also, actual humans giving you info (people listing on ebay already did the research) is way more accurate than what the AI was spitting out

my family was digging through my grandma's dishes and trying to see if they were worth anything. I was using google lens and then ebay to see what items were called and how much they were listed for. my brother in law was asking chatgpt. i was finding everything faster and with more accurate info
