If only…
That’s fantastic! Congratulations to her ☺️🏆
Three chords, an other-worldly synth pulse throughout. Blew my 13 year old mind. I lived four miles away from Andy and Paul, but they seemed to be on another planet.
Still sounds like the future to me.

Like an awful lot of people I was introduced to her work via Cornershop…

Say no more, Mon amour 😂😂😂
Yay!
Poured myself a cider and black to enjoy the impending doom, but I accidentally used Vimto as the mixer and now I can be vaporised in a very happy mood
McCartney has made many, many, actually bad records. The two that always get picked as examples, "We All Stand Together" and "Wonderful Christmastime", are not among them. The former has a *glorious* melody and the latter ridiculously inventive production.

I had this on too…the unsurprisingly perfect Jayhawks/Wilco crossover
I remember hearing Blue for the first time and falling in love with the record…a summer of this and Wilco’s Being There was heavenly

There are not many live bits of this old band of mine: The Auteurs. Forgotten by most, but this is how good we were. No bullshit - just intense as young bands should be.
Luckily Joe repeats ‘Tommy Gun’ lots so I could tell my cousin 😉
Yep…I asked my older cousin Chris (a cool young punk) and he took me to town to buy a copy…still have it ❤️
Tell me that this isn’t just pure exhilaration and I won’t believe you
Tommy Gun by The Clash…really clear memory of being in the car in Bangor with my dad and it being the most exciting thing my 11 year old ears had ever heard.
Then my dad changed the station before I knew who it was.
There are days when Madness are the best band to have ever existed.
Fuck art, let’s dance
Congratulations!
Our single sounds particularly good on red 7” vinyl, I must say ❤️🔥
and a rather wonderful, ...that bass

Top of the Pops (27th March 1980). The Jam are at number 1 with Going Underground.
Yup! So nice to wear ☺️
Dress socks…quite sheer, very chic ☺️

A Kinksian evening…that run of LPs from 65 to 69 is just perfect. I have so many favourite Ray Davies songs and here’s just one of them
