So hot!
Incredible Alex F copy 😄
We love us some good ASCII/ANSI art, as original demosceners! Thank you, NE7! 💙
Interview starts about 26 minutes in (if you open the Twitch link in a browser, it starts directly at it, but if you play it inline on Bluesky, it doesn’t respect the timestamp)
In case you have a need to watch me talk nerdy s—t about the Amiga demo scene, scaling, latency and see the upcoming release of AmigaVision for 2 hours, the recording of the livestream and interview is here!
Of course, the least healthy thing in that photo is the slice of bread, so you did actually make it more healthy, percentage-wise! 😄
Thanks! We think it is a fun little detail that makes it look better 😄
Still does 😄
It’s a US computer 😄 Did you ever play Defender of the Crown, It Came from the Desert, Wings, Ports of Call?
I guess we're on a roll of fixing 30-year old issues, we just fixed Amiga NTSC scaling in emulators for the first time in the 30-year history of Amiga emulation (there will be more details in the livestream) as well as a 30-year old bug in ptreplay.library (RIP StingRay)
Let's ROCK 🤘
Screenshot of AmigaVision showing the new QR code support to load game manuals
3000 game manuals easlily accessible by just pointing your phone or tablet at AmigaVision? Yes, indeed! (Try it with your phone right now!)
Ready for the biggest update in AmigaVision’s history? The Ultimate Amiga Games & Demo Scene Setup for MiSTer & Pocket FPGAs, Raspberry Pi + Emulators — and Amiga 1200, 4000 & CD32 — is getting a major upgrade in a few days. Maybe even a livestream event to show what’s new with a certain Mr. Bill?
I’m sure if you shoot them an email that asks for it to loop, they will fix 😄
And of course, no frame buffer. Insanity.
And this Atari 2600 demo from Revision 2026 is insane! This is running on a device that has 128 bytes(!) of RAM! Deservedly won first place in the Oldskool Demo Competition 😄
Gary Numan! Such a legend
As stated in a different reply, I ran out of characters — yes, proper mad scientist energy here 😄
Yes! Character limits and all that, this was excellent 😄
The “WILD” competition was particularly excellent this year at Revision 2026:
✅ Casio calculator demo
✅ Stereo audio through the floppy port on Amiga
✅ GBA demo using LCD subpixels for triple resolution
✅ €1 RPi chip demo w/o having enough RAM to make a full framebuffer
✅ Amazing oscilloscope demo
Be the change you want to see! No better time to get into Amiga game development 😄
Legendary Amiga demo scene musician interviewed about his career and transition to game music — Assassin’s Creed, Hitman, etc. Check out his demo scene productions on AmigaVision today!
Wide boys unite! And yes, that’s a Nik Kershaw 80s reference 😄 www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gQU...
Pinball Illusions intro sequence rendered into a 21:9 aspect ratio screen with integer scaling and no stretching
AmigaVision brought you the first 16:9 aspect ratio (not stretching or non-integer scaling) Amiga demos via Widescreen demo category on MiSTer. Since we already took it up to 11, can we do one better? Yes, we can. Here’s a screenshot of Amiga rendering into a 21:9 screen aspect ratio w/o stretching:
PGM core upcoming, and now the first test versions of the 3DO core? It's turning out to be a good year for MiSTer so far. As you probably know, several Amiga people were involved + Trip Hawkins — in charge of EA when they were in their Amiga prime, Deluxe Paint etc: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fctl...
…has a scan doubler built in, that is.
PC CRT is totally valid! E.g. the Amiga 3000 has one built in. But yes, you are pointing out an aspect that I didn’t think of: A lot of people’s first exposures to these systems were via sharp pixel emulation, so there’s nostalgia for a particular setup that did not exist at the time.
