Percentage of passes that go backwards:

Manchester City: 17.9%, highest in league
Arsenal: 15.7%, 4th-fewest in league

Big misconception.

Yellow balloon terrorist really affecting the lads today.

Honestly, blaming the ref and VAR, sure. And she is 3000% right to be unhappy about it. But to go as far as chatting about the intention of the player, go fetch 🙄

95th minute in two legged tie. If it was all down to the hair pulling, kind of have to look at yourselves a little bit too, no?

There were just as many mind-boggling calls the other way. The ref was just terrible and VAR even worse. As for the disallowed goal last leg, you must be joking!

😂 Look at our history, mate.

Ref was atrocious for both sides on the day. Literally about 6 mind-boggling decisions on the pitch. Can think of 3 tackles, one stamp and two pulls. Arsenal fan here. The fact VAR didn’t intervene on this particular one is mental.

If only journalists actually did their jobs and confronted these far right grifters more often, the world would be a better place. Thanks for sharing.

Genuinely don’t get being an Arsenal fan and an England fan at the same time. I know for many there is no choice per se. Just feels like such different values.

Which is why it’s absolutely hilarious when the president of the United States calls other countries or peoples ‘fanatics’ or ‘extremists’. The American version of religion has not existed in Europe for 100 years now.

You may mean something different by being ‘built on Christian principles’, but Christianity has always been deeply rooted in the creation of that country with historically very shaky (being nice) separation of church and state.

I’m all for bringing these crypto-fascists down, but founded on the idea of enlightenment? Thats a stretch. The settlers were indeed mostly Christian economic migrants of which a big chunk were too fanatical (calvinists) to play card games.

Keeping politics out of football ey, Nigel?

We’ve gone from vilifying foreign players for diving to glorifying feigning injury, so you can call it whatever you like, but it has happened 🤷‍♂️

One poll to show the Andrew Tate-ification of football if I’ve ever seen one.

The last French politician who truly had integrity. Just little like it all went to shit after Bowie’s passing, it all went to shit in France after JMLP went through to that second round. Man, I wish I’d seen a world in which it could’ve been different.

Saving football through corruption ❤️

Kepa was far from our only issue. But that first goal was certainly what swung the game. In a game in which control was our main issue, having Odegaard, Eze and Merino out proved too much. Also, Pep admitted as much, City played an absolute blinder they will most likely fail to replicate again.

Instead of going ‘Oh, you’re stepping off? Well, then check this out!’ and bolting it through to Gyok, it made the whole team feel like we were devoid of any ideas. These things ripple through just like a defensive error or a pass tha goes straight into touch.

Not only is Kepa not quite as good at shot-stopping as Raya, our WHOLE build up play is build on Raya’s passing ability and Kepa is FAR behind in that department. You could feel the life sucked out of us when he couldn’t find the pass when he was given ample time to do so by City’s passive press.

OK, so I might be extrapolating here but is there any chance Kepa had a clause in his contract with us that said he was to play every cup game? For 5mil£ backup keeper of that level, you most likely sign it, right? In no world do I imagine Arteta willingly going for a weaker team in a final.

It’s good to FEEL. Thanks for sharing this, Dave. Let’s make the most of things in this life. It’s short. All the best.
