If they freeze, then I plant the other plants outside at the safe last frost date.
But between climate change and having a slightly warmer microclimate at my house, I pretty much never lose a plant. Though now that I said that, I've jinxed it.

Experienced gardener here. I planted my first tomato plants outside today. I always start twice as many plants as I actually want to grow and plant some outside as soon as I think we might be done with frost. If they survive, I have very early tomatoes, and extra plants to give away.
I read someone's comment that we don't need NOAA anymore because now you can just get the weather from your phone.
