It’ll be interesting to see how the rest shakes out with more episodes but it felt like a great start!
I hadn’t noticed the run time when I started the episode and I was so happy when I realized they were going to fit all that in episode 1. Especially for a competition themed anime slow pacing would have been so sad to me!
[has no right to say this as a person who voluntarily watches One Piece’s anime] I sometimes struggle with anime pacing vs setting my own pace reading manga but I love how they decided to pace the first episode of SBR
