The issue that I see is that if you look at the great Democratic leaders of the past like FDR, JFK, LBJ, etc, they couldn't get elected today because of the purity tests of the left. So we will either get milk toast centrists or far left candidates that turn off the independents.

I agree that they should but it shouldn't be one-sided. When you have people like Benny Johnson and Tim Pool taking Russian money to make anti-Ukrainian content and they just deny it so nothing happens to them and get invited to the White House, why should we give two shits about this?
So are you thinking that the only trustworthy content creators are the ones that do it for free? People need to make a living.
If the money is going to liberal creators and there are no demands for specific content from those creators, who cares where the source is?
I don't understand what the issue is with accepting "dark money". We know the Republicans do it. Are we just to sit back and let the Republicans take over this space or should we fight fire with fire? This feels like some sort of purity test that us Dems need to get away from.
Not only is Big Tech trying to take your job with AI, they want you to subsidize it through higher electrical costs.

For those that have a 401(k), here is another reason to get out of those date range funds and move into index funds. There will be funds soon that will be mixing investments in stocks with private equity funds and this is not probably a good thing for causal investor.

A) Adjust your policies in hopes to improve next month's numbers and change the trajectory
B) Stick with your policies and fire the statistician that gave you the numbers?
- Guess which option Trump just chose.
Choose your own adventure time:
You are President. You receive job numbers and revised lower previous month numbers that paint a bad outlook for the economy. Do you:
Hey Visa and Mastercard, why do you get to decide what games I get to play? Where does it stop? Will you go after movies and tv shows next? Shouldn't I get to decide what content I consume?

Mom, I made one of your favorites: fried potatoes and onions in olive oil and Pep's Pork smoked sausage. I changed it a bit by leaving the peels on also using the steak fat from yesterday to help cook the potatoes.
I will have to admit that Superman 2025 has changed me. It actually filled me with hope. It is made me tired of the toxicity of politics now. I want the world where we inspire and fight for the underdog rather than punch down.
- There is an Epstein list.
- Wait, no. There is no Epstein list and there is no birthday card.
- Wait, yes. There is an Epstein list and I will get it to you in two weeks but don't look at me. And there was a birthday card but someone else wrote it.

Yet, another reason I dislike MrBeast. He doesn't view people as humans but rather objects to exploit.

Below is a graph showing all federal law enforcement appropriations and the orange is what was added in the recent bill. Can we just admit that how we are handling immigration is just not working and retool it so we are not spending nearly a fifth of a trillion dollars on immigration enforcement?!?
These right-wing grifters will lie their ass off just to make a buck. This guy puts a GiveSendGo campaign saying he was fired from his job because of his beliefs in a Jubilee video when actually it was in Jan. Never give these people a dime of your hard-earned money.

He was raised by the Kents who instilled in Clark the values of compassion and humility to match his strength. So it doesn't matter what his birth parents intentions were. It matters the values that he learned from the people that raised him.
Some people are saying that James Gunn did Jor-El and Lara dirty with the decrypted message in the new Superman movie. I disagree. We don't know what the culture was like on Krypton so that might have been completely acceptable there. The thing is, Superman was not raised by his Kryptonian parents.
Day 169:
Mom, I just watched the recent episode of South Park. It was awesome. Wish you were here to enjoy it too. I know how much you loved South Park.
I was thinking that Trump's name must be all over the Epstein files. If it was just a couple of mentions, they could scrub those away and the public probably wouldn't notice. But if you are in there to a point where it is just easier to bury the investigation than to scrub it, you are in very deep.
Trump, you are going to have the drug prices reduced by 1500%?!? So the drug companies will be paying us 15x the current cost to take their drugs?!? I thought you were a businessman. Do you know how business even works?

So is the title now "Commander-in-Diddling' or "Diddler-in-Chief"? Just want to know how to properly address him.
Trump administration fires the prosecutor of Epstein and Maxwell. Hmm... 🤔

Day 161:
Mom, it was a cooler day today so I got the oven going for cheesey potatoes and BBQ ribs that I made in the sous vide last week but let them sit in the fridge to absorb the juices.
The Trump administration is laughing at all of us who want accountability in the Epstein case.

If the President of the United States can revoke the citizenship of Rosie O'Donnell, what is preventing him from doing it to you?
Going to throw this out there. I have no proof but what if the ultra rich supported Trump in 2024 not only for the tax cuts but so he would finally bury or destroy the Epstein files.
How quickly do you think the Trump administration will blame Biden even though these numbers are from June.
