Once you train your brain to notice the constant, deafening roar of car infrastructure, you suddenly realize that gas-powered landscaping equipment is the exact same problem.

Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Minneapolis (Official Audio)
Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Minneapolis (Official Audio) YouTube video by Bruce Springsteen

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Wales saved 3 children's lives last year by reducing 30mph limits to 20mph everywhere. That would be much more effective than telling kids to 'wear bright clothing'. Let's do it!

'This has enabled the Department to reinstate a full road safety advertising programme'..it didn't work last time..and one person a week will die this year again. Do something new...province wide urban 20mph speed limits would work better.

'As road users we all have a personal responsibility to behave in a way that keeps ourselves and others safe' but car users have more responsibility because they are in control of a 1 ton machine that could crush a child walking to school. COME ON!

'Road Safety Messages' will not eliminate road deaths in NI. Blanket 20mph in urban environments would be a step forward. We're stuck at 50 deaths a year...doing the same old things will ensure we get the same 50 deaths every year.

Religion isn't history. (Yet? 😉) Maybe as part of a wider Philosophy Course? I don't think history teachers are going to run towards teaching RE too. Religion would maybe fit with ethics and citizenship.

I disagree...I think religion is a part of everyday life and children need to learn about it. However, the form of religious education in NI needs a big overhaul so that is education and not indoctrination.

Reviewing Boatman - the first 50, Alan Connor (The Guardian's crossword editor and the brains behind many of BBC2’s quiz programs) says: "This is one to savour. Boatman's puzzles are witty and ingenious. It is an extraordinary pleasure to read how his unique mind works. The first 50 is a book I never knew I needed in my life. Gift it to yourself and to the word-lovers in yours".

They say they are working with DfI to create active travel links...how is that going to work with Grand Central Station? Was consideration to active travel given when the Durham St Rd layout planned?

5 months ago 0 0 0 0

So. When will secure cycle storage be available at Grand Central? Why are full sized bikes not allowed on trains before 9.30 when the trains going to Belfast on the Bangor Line are less than 30% full before 7.30? And between 8.45 and 9.30?. They have spent all the money on ticketing so they must kno
