The cinematography in this film is really stellar as well.

The modified "Liberty Leading the People" painting is interesting here as well.

It's interesting how the Malduk "anti-robot" sentiment in the film is laundered through the concept of human rights.

5/5. Absolutely bombastic film. The scene where Tima realizes she is a robot is very well done.

4/5. Tomizawa really does excel in strange and unique aliens.

Love this moment. Great characterization for Crinn.

Honestly just amazed at this guy's scheming at this point. Do wonder how far he will go in supporting the insurgents for his own ends though.

Love the plot of this episode, where even though they are most likely doomed in this battle, it has become too big for them to stop now.

5/5. Despite the horrific abuse Midori endures, there is an interesting sort of sympathy for her. The art and paneling in this is also very good.

Night on the Galactic Railroad

4/5. Beautiful animation in this, and made me cry at one point. I could see the eventual twist coming from very early on, and it only made it hit harder when it happened.

Might be symbolic for what's about to happen. Leaving behind an already winning hand.
