Dear colleagues - we want to better understand perceptions of data fraud and its detection and need your support! Are you currently a #researcher in #psych (or related fields) working with #data? Perfect - please respond to & share this short study (7min): sosci.rlp.net/detection/?r... Thank you!! π«Ά

This first comprehensive mapping of #translational psychological treatment reveals:
π¬ Extinction learning, emotion regulation, & inhibitory learning are most translated
π’ Preference for simpler mechanisms (methodological) and terminological inconsistencies (conceptual) impede progress
What does the path from basic psychological science to clinical treatment actually look like?
We mapped 50 years of research in our new paper in Clinical Psychology Review with @abitter.bsky.social , Viktoria Ritter, @rief01.bsky.social , & Anke Haberkamp.

FAIRness differed mainly by repository, with GitHub and OSF showing lower median scores than PsychArchives, Zenodo, and Figshare
How FAIR is shared data in psychology?
We analyzed 11,384 datasets (2013β2024): They're findable, but less reusable!
What relates most to differences in FAIRness? #Repository choice.

β¨ LUCKY COINCIDENCES β¨ Have you ever come across a surprising, accidental discovery that felt meaningful and motivated you to further engage with it?
In our new paper now out in JASP (doi.org/10.1111/jasp...), we explore such serendipitous experiences in museums and beyond. 1/5 π§΅
New publication!
Matthew Horsey, Kana Imuta and I integrate insights from social, cognitive, political, and developmental psychology and propose a lifespan model of conspiracy belief formation, from infancy, through childhood and adolescence, into adulthood.

Happy to share that our #bibliometric analysis of #translational psychological treatment is now published OA in the latest issue of @apajournals.bsky.social's Clinical Psychology: Science and Practice! doi.org/10.1037/cps0...
Terminological inconsistency may threaten the progress of the field!
Excited to announce that my paper with @lpummerer.bsky.social, @sonja-utz.de & @kaisassenberg.bsky.social on conspiracy beliefs is published. We examined the relationship between conspiracy beliefs and procedural justice during the peak and decay of the pandemic.
π¨ CAN ARTISTIC ACTIVISM RESOLVE THE ACTIVIST DILEMMA? π¨ Art is often employed as creative and attention-grabbing form of protest, but can it help alleviate negative effects of disruptiveness? Our findings now out in Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity and the Arts (doi.org/10.1037/aca0...). π§΅1/4
Remember the old #Twitter and when you decided to migrate? How important were your peers for your decision?
In our current study, we use data from 250k researchers during the 2022 migration to #Mastodon to examine #socialinfluence within the research community.

For our soon-to-be published study on translational psychological treatment, we developed a paper identification workflow using sentence embeddings and machine learning. This may come in handy for other studies in #bibliometrics!

Calling all #psych researchers!π’
Weβre conducting a quick survey on #preregistration & would love your input on what features an ideal prereg platform should have. We will use your feedback to improve @zpid.bsky.social's service PreReg! Thanks!β¨

Do you work with text data? Then our β¨topiclabelsβ¨ #Rstats package may come in handy.
Using open #LLM, it automatically assigns a topic label to a bag of words.
It also works with all popular #TopicModeling packages!

#MachineLearning & #SentenceEmbeddings to identify hard-to-find relevant papers

My dear colleague @cspetrule.bsky.social is about to present our bibliometric study on translational psychol. treatment at #DGPs2024 in Seminarraum 1. We applied #SentenceEmbeddings and #MachineLearning to find relevant papers.

had a great time presenting my side-quest on #fragmentation in emerging fields of research at the ASIS&T METSTI 23 in London. the density of high quality research in the room, the engaging presentations and the great ZPID team led by @abitter.bsky.social - simply fantastic! π»
