Can anyone recommend any good books about resisting the rise of the far-right? Especially anything relevant to an Irish context?

Another thing I have learned in the latest Starship Alexandria is that if I run a D&D oneshot with @emmanewman.bsky.social and @aptshadow.bsky.social , I let Emma play a Fire Genasi, and I let Adrian play a Wildshape Druid.

Emma managed to put my feelings about this film into words. I felt the same way as she did.

With this absolutely STUNNING cover, I really must pay tribute to our wonderful designer, Sam Gretton. He would not welcome the attention, I've no doubt, but I've now worked with him for over three years, and his covers are astonishing. As well as this one, here is a thread of a few gorgeous others:

I've been a fan of @emmanewman.bsky.social 's work since the Split Worlds came out, so it was a delight to be able to do her Guest of Honour interview yesterday at Eastercon

We talked about how she tortures her characters, writing neurodivergence, about hope in dark times, and much more #eastercon

For #eastercon2026 lovelies: the art show closes at 4pm today, so if you want a painting or jewellery or a bookmark, you need to go before then. The pendants have been varnished on the back for anyone with metal allergies by the way x

Busy day today at #Eastercon2026 starting with my table talk at 10.30, then GoH interview at 12.00 and then running my workshop at 16.30 to help writers who struggle with procrastination. Then BSFA awards at 18.30!

The art show is really good this year! I got something for my son :) No auction this year, so I recommend getting there as soon as you can if you want something, as things are selling. Two of my paintings have been sold already! And two bookmarks :)
