I WISH I could join but I train Capoeira at that time on Tuesdays. Grrrrrr
I hear you!!! 🫂🤣🫂
I THINK the next meeting is April 18th? 🤔😁
From the other side of the world….🌎🌍🌏
J’écoute Nova La Nuit!! My old fave… Radio Nova, Paris
Your periodic reminder that there is a website that lets you listen to local radio stations anywhere in the world
This is honestly one of the coolest inventions ever, imo. Global access to hyper-local imagined communities
🥰
A leather-hard, brown clay pinched pot on a brown banding wheel. The pot’s sides are perpendicular to its base and the rim has been carved with mountain ridgelines in mind. The outer walls of the pot feature textured wavy lines flowing diagonally between the top and the base, reminiscent of the motion of submerged sea grasses. Pot and photo by me.
I love your work! So glad you post here! From a fellow ceramicist who has only recently managed to touch clay again for the first time in forever…thank you for inspiring me to dare to post a pic of this little pot I made!
Done!

I have to thank you! I couldn’t help but think of Arletty’s famous line:“atmosphère, atmosphère, est-ce-que j’ai une gueule d’atmosphère?” From classic film Hôtel du Nord…

Charles Yang of Time for Three absolutely slaying me. I would lose my mind if I heard this live. Even crappy phone speakers made me scream and cry.
So so good you have that! And make sure to REST! (Real deep boring rest!) 🥰
Marthaaaaa! Sending love and all the swift and easy recovery vibes up across the equator to you! 💕🫂💕
“I am fundamentally an optimist. Whether that comes from nature or nurture, I cannot say. Part of being optimistic is keeping one's head pointed toward the sun, one's feet moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested, but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lay defeat and death.” Nelson Mandela Long Walk to Freedom: The Autobiography of Nelson Mandela
Ayyyyyy …. I hear you. May I offer this quote from Nelson Mandela’s Long Walk to Freedom? It has sustained me through many a dark moment and I needed to reconnect with it today as well.
Thank you for this article. You very succinctly and successfully conveyed the ideological air we were forced to breathe during my childhood in South Africa.
Check your email… I wrote to you about this very topic this morning (re yr Folly post) and I completely echo Nina’s words. Also btw I do not post anymore but felt compelled to risk poking my head up to reply to you. 🥰🫂
🥰💕
Good luck!
Lovely colors and stitches! Could you block it into shape?
