Wednesday: forever, not for better There wasn't somewhere for thinking of Fergus, the first time. Jamie was there in the church, in the darkness as she combed her fingers through Bree's hair, on the branch where the birds liked to sing, but Fergus was too quicksilver for that. She'd loved him too deeply to forget, yet the traces of him were in Paris and centuries away and still becoming something she'd never know. She visits the cairn now, but feels him more in good whisky and the children's faces and arguments over politics. And still he doesn't stay tied anywhere — her fast, cheeky, beloved boy.

Kinda forgot that it was Wednesday because we had a long weekend, so I fwipped together some Claire reflections on missing Fergus (a situation to which I still want to state my STRONG objections!!!) 💜

Fergus. The boy who taught Jamie and Claire how to be parents. Took care of Claire when they lost Faith. Protected Jamie when he was living in a cave so much so that he lost his hand. His sweet little face when Jamie gave him his last name!! Fought to save Claire. I am still so unwell over this 😭💔
