im honestly kind of suspicious of people who consider programming to be a wholly separate discipline from art, where there is just some inherent facet of the act that precludes it from being an art form in itself... what a dry and uninsightful perspective on something youve made your career doing

Well I think this is as good as I could get the Two-Tone Pulses going, the code is pretty ugly but it works so who cares really.
thats allowed
god i really wish a company that made hard drives (which are sensitive to vibration) also made a tool that is very harmful to said hard drives. if only
your post if you made it in a forest and nobody was around to hear it: made a new sound. i am tree
What software or hardware thing do you wish someone would create? — versions of emulators that try to implement circuit bending type effects. it's basically impossible, but imagine a version o… alterspring.org/@Xkeeper/a/1...
and thats just the cpu. theres like Ten other chips in a full dos pc and nobody writes papers or documentation for those at all. and assuming you find any, good luck finding someone both smart and actually interested enough to help you write a software version of what is basically a physics puzzle
writing a cycle accurate emulator for an x86 cpu more advanced than the 8088 or nec v20 will have you begging for scraps from 30 or 40 year old research papers and college textbooks or hunting down someone with an electron microscope to melt all the plastic off the chip and take good pictures
honestly... the smartest and most enthusiastic people i know in the space are emulator programmers. i feel like 'real hardware' isnt and shouldnt be a special sauce to be pitted against emulation when so much of what we know about the hardware is their work, and would not have happened otherwise
i know that vibecoding isnt why bluesky shits itself but saying it makes the devs mad so its cool
firefox open with just one bluesky tab. in place of the content is a black on white plain page, reading as follows: Error 503 first byte timeout first byte timeout Error 54113 Details: cache-pao-kpao1770042-PAO 1776355301 2511591784 (there is a horizontal rule here.) Varnish cache server

okay i uploaded a wav... yellowbook.cd-rom.net/au/mcinst.wav
i made an 'instrumental' version of the song for this post merping.synth.download/@mothcompute... by just opening the entire module in audacity as an unheadered signed 8 bit stream and zeroing out the vocal samples
i looked into this too and
- uade *does* play 7 channel mugician files, so ive been using that
- im not entirely sure that the version of mugician available supports 7 channel files
so ive been thinking of just doing what i did with rl2 and brute forcing the format in a hex editor
man... i sure wish something new and excitingly different was beginning around here...
this is the new twisted visage from all the vices ive been having
actually it was so my visage wouldnt become twisted by the desire. which i was already having
