It’s as if the Iran war was fought to sustain the Russian economy. Lifting sanctions for Russians does nothing for Americans. It just makes it easier for Russia to continue its war in Ukraine.

Two weeks ago The Free Press let a whiner publish 2000 words ab how I got his book review cEnsoReD. It was pure nonsense from the moment it went out—but I spent the next 14 days trying to get them to post an Editor’s Note and admit reality.
They won’t.

You guys. No.
Someone had fun with this headline.
he boycotted them for years — they should return that honor
People should actually be very alarmed that while AP's business model is shot to bits, Americans are still very much reliant on the news it delivers. The alternatives in some cases are inferior or non-existent.

In what world is it okay for the Defense Secretary to make multi-million dollar investments in defense companies:
a) Ever;
b) In the run-up to starting a war in the Middle East

In a functional democracy, he would offer his resignation tonight.
This is nuts. The only reason to do this is the cruelty and the racism. It will actively harm the U.S. economy. We're not talking about undocumented migrant workers here. These are legal PERMANENT residents.

I've said it before, but this kind of journalism only made sense in an era where it was important to document what powerful people said because people might not be able to find it any other way
Now? If you're not fact-checking or contextualizing comments like this, you are just doing free PR
So many law review articles and he just tweeted it out
The only mainstream journalists speaking truth to power these days are cartoonists
one of many reasons to distrust platner is that rural healthcare is in significant trouble as a direct result of actions the republicans have taken. republicans closed rural hospitals, not big pharma, and if you’re running as a dem, it’s your job to say that
"“These new disclosures suggest that Donald Trump stole documents so sensitive that only six people in the entire U.S. government had access to them, that the documents President Trump stole pertained to his business interests..."

The $580 million short oil bet was the smaller of the two insider trades. The larger one, placed at the exact same time (6:49-6:50am), was between $1.4-$1.9 billion to go long S&P 500 e-Mini futures.
Over $2 billion in Trump traitor trades, all wildly profitable 15 minutes later after Trump's post.
If someone yelled "9/11 was bad" at my wife while she's wearing a hijab, our being angry about that would not mean we co-signed 9/11. If you cannot understand that an anodyne (or even correct!) moral sentiment can be weaponized by racist assholes, your brain is cheese.
The president of the United States decided to give someone he thought was a good guy but weak on security a shot as the nation's top counterterrorism official.
NYT on Feb. 13, 2026: The visit also demonstrated the relative foreign policy inexperience of Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, who has made a few overseas trips since taking office but does not sit on any House committees devoted primarily to world affairs. She struggled at times to formulate succinct answers at a nighttime panel session, during which she was asked probing and specific questions about how to respond to international crises. Questioned about whether the United States should send troops to defend Taiwan if China invaded the island, she stalled for roughly 20 seconds before offering a substantive response. “I think that, uh, this is such a, a — you know, I think that — this is a, um — this is of course, a, uh, a very longstanding, um, policy of the United States,” Ms. Ocasio-Cortez said, before saying that the country should try to avoid reaching that point with China in the first place.
NYT on March 16, 2026: On Monday, Mr. Trump claimed that “numerous countries have told me they’re on the way,” noting that President Emmanuel Macron of France would most likely help in the Strait of Hormuz and was an eight out of 10. “Not perfect, but it’s France,” he said. Others are not demonstrating sufficient enthusiasm for his demands, he said.
Last month the NYT said AOC "struggled" to give an answer on Taiwan and quoted her with "uhs" and "ums" to make her look stupid
Yesterday talking about Hormuz Trump claimed he's heard from "numerous countries" and said "uh" four times. The NYT deleted the "uhs" and paraphrased him to look smarter:
Reuters decision to unmask Banksy has taken something precious from us and delivered nothing of value in return.
I don't believe their protestations that it's "in the public interest"; it's just a trophy for them.
“With all newspapers in Germany being told what to publish and how to write the news and editorials, it was inevitable that a deadly conformity would come over the nation’s press.”

Trump is using immigration policy to suppress speech, lawsuit claims "This policy appears to be so broad and vague that it casts a shadow over a vast range of protected activity. The professionals working to keep the internet safe are left in fear, wondering whether doing their jobs could cost them their visas or trigger detention or deportation." Naomi Gilens counsel
The admin's new immigration policy targeting people working in fields like misinfo research, fact-checking, and content moderation — labeling their work “censorship” — crosses a constitutional line.
