We used to order from a Thai place that was famous for not caring if you were foolish enough to order food that was too spicy. My mom liked a level 4, I was fine with a 5. She once ordered "medium" and that was how we learned the scale ran from 1 all the way to 36. Oops.

Automated curry was my first meal in Japan ;) Also went to a curry chain (CoCo?) and found it interesting that the limiting element was the grams of rice. They would give you seconds on curry sauce (I think it had potatoes and carrots, so actually substantial food), but the rice determined price.

I liked the remake, but it lacked the OG charm of ablative squadie armor to filter out who were the real team rockstars. Need to fire up the original again sometime.
As an undergrad ages ago, larger classes sometimes had an authorized note taking services where you could straight up buy notes (and maybe miss the occasional lecture). Learned the hard way that making the notes, class after class, was by far the most important part.
