This ain’t about men but about extremists who are trying to have us fight each other. Don’t fall for it.
AI chatbots can sound authoritative on health, but new research shows they often mislead, especially when users must interpret and apply the answers themselves.
I realize that I fell into their trap: all extremist narratives embed a lie that often goes unchallenged while we fight over words like ‘quarrelsome’
My mother, my husband and I earned our medical school spot because NO ONE (woman or man) gets recruited to medical school.

I’ll add that my husband is also a doctor and earned his right to enter medical school the same way my mother and I did: his marks and CV. He wasn’t recruited either.

The quote post is disabled but I have 2 comments:
I’m a doctor, my mother is a doctor, and neither of us was ‘recruited’.
We worked hard to earn a right to enter medical school with our marks and CV, not by being ‘medicated’ ‘meddlesome’ or ‘quarrelsome’.
I can’t even with this garbage…

Some universal truths from your friendly neighborhood hematologist
-every baby should get vitamin K
-no baby needs a chiropractor
-all menstruating and pregnant people should be screened for iron deficiency
-vaccines save lives, prevent cancer, and are a fucking MIRACLE
1. My point was that Canadians made individual decisions to boycott.
2. The stats on tertiary education Canada wide is one data point and obviously is not needed to make an independent decision.
3. There’s no evidence given on Hamilton AND it doesn’t contradict the Canada wide stats anyway.

Agree and, hence, have complex emotions.
Interestingly I’ve heard a ton of reasons, from personal safety to annexation threats, but also a ton of different emotions, from sadness to anger and everything in between.
In the end, Canadians are always such independent individuals and I love that.

Graphic with the text: 44th ANNIVERSARY OF THE CANADIAN CHARTER OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS.
44 years ago today, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms was signed into law. It laid the foundation for a stronger, more just Canada.
It is up to us all to protect the values of freedom and equality enshrined in the Charter — to keep building a better Canada, for all.
I’m sure that patients stuck in hospital hallways without beds, waiting dangerously long for surgeries, are relieved that our Premier has a private jet.

Canada’s boycott wasn’t organized. It was organic.
Reasons from friends, family, neighbours and Bluesky suggest it’s because Canada has a high literacy rate and over 60% of us have a college/university education; we listen, we read and quietly make up our minds. One Canadian at time.

I’m sorry about your diagnosis and the terrible advice.
I don’t know, Anne. I have my suspicions that old dogma about droplets was adopted too early, without evidence, because COVID was a new disease. When corrected by some, it might have become evident to orgs and govt that *if* it were airborne, it could cost a lot in PPE and indoor air cleaning.
I’m so very sorry - it’s unethical that hospitals don’t take airborne precautions.
