It's the start of Mental Health Awareness Week with the theme of Community, and the start of our Men Minds dissemination

Young men get a lot of bad press, but what a wonderful, supportive community our young men built during this project

One of (my) life's biggest disappointments is the inability to work in the garden when it's sunny. There's power and WiFi but I've never found a satisfactory resolution to the screen issue (and yes I've tried an umbrella, cardboard box etc). Good problem to have I guess ☀️!

In a brilliant but incredibly busy period of work, planning significant outputs, events and activities over the next few weeks, for the wonderful Men Minds as well as keeping all other projects progressing. So guess what lands on the doormat? Jury Citation 😬Their timing is impeccable, as always!

British Sociological Association presentation done ✅ - a really enjoyable panel with important synergies around the politics of mental health. And it's great to be finally getting to share findings from the wonderful Men Minds Project.

Enjoying the early morning sights of sunny Manchester, before a busy day of conferencing. I've been impressed by this city so far!

Plans for a solid morning concentrating on writing have been scuppered by a very large wasp in my workspace. In April? Why are there wasps in April? A bee would be fine, but a wasp might call for drastic action. Send help!
