Banning imports, on the other hand, would cease all imports, duh, of products by designated banned export origin. Take China for example. Restricting the US market from their economy would be detrimental, and while harming them, would be an even bigger push to increase American jobs.

Tariffs have a negative affect on the US economy, generally affecting the importers of the American market, which basically becomes up to the end consumer to pay.

There’s a bunch to unpack here, since the focus is on the tariffs, let’s focus on that.
Importers of the American market pay tariffs; not other countries. While I believe a growth in American manufacturing is beneficial, Trump is reliant on us to actually move manufacturing here, which is unlikely.
