Trump is a disgrace.

They are traitors to this country for enabling Trump.

While Trump's assertion that "a whole civilization will die tonight" represents a discrete threat of genocide against Iran, the fact that it comes from a U.S. president, while Congress does nothing, actually represents a broader civilizational collapse — whether he follows through or not.

A genocidal threat from a U.S. president is beyond dangerous. Escalating strikes while threatening to wipe out an entire civilization puts innocent Iranian civilians and Americans at risk. These are intentional war crimes. We need to invoke the 25th Amendment now to stop these violations.

Good lord. If we cede control of the strait to Iran…. And agree to REPARATIONS…. This will be the biggest humiliation in American history

Meanwhile, as Trump threatens a civilizations extinction…. Congress is on vacation. Enjoy it…

Regardless of whether it’s all talk, when the leader of our country expresses plainly genocidal intent, everyone has to do something.

For citizens of all political stripes, it means rejecting this madness. For Congress, it means taking action to rein him in. Now.

The Cabinet needs to invoke the 25th Amendment. But Congress can’t just sit on its hands and wait for that to happen when the President is threatening to commit war crimes TONIGHT.

I'm relieved re: ceasefire, but I can't help but feel Iran hoodwinked Trump. The Strait of Hormuz is open now? Guess when it was also open? BEFORE THE WAR STARTED. Also apparently we're recognizing their nuclear enrichment? Was stopping that not the ENTIRE reason we went to war to begin with?

The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.

This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.

Yeah, this is exactly why empathy is NOT a weakness, Trump: you have to be able to see outside your narrow views in order to understand how other people will react to the things YOU do. But I'm pretty sure that's beyond the scope of his abilities.

Our president must be better thant, because WE'RE better than that, more respectful, and more appreciative of a lifetime of faithful service than that, Republican or not.

But most of all, we're more human than that.

I think you're right. He'll fire somebody, in a very public way, and say he never gave orders to attack in the first place.

I don't know if there's anyone who would tell him no anymore, either -- that's the scary thing.

So Israel was gonna do it, and since Trump was blustering about this for weeks, he was like, "Well they're not gonna do it and make me look like a weakling!" So now we're bombing the Middle East and creating brand new opportunities for WWIII to break out. Vote for peace.
