#KudsBooksFriday I'm going to recommend my own book here. I've got quite a bit of experience in using good #picturebooks to encourage crirical thinking at all levels of primary (and beyond). Critical thinking is CRUCIAL.

Third time in not much more than a week for the "falconry, ski-ing & horses" anonymous brief on SEND. What's worse: the Westminster insiders who put this toxic, nasty crap about or the journalists who blithely repeat it? PS ask an OT professional about autism, dyspraxia, core stability & horses

Fair enough Ros. It was no bundle of laughs for sure.

Sad to hear you casually doing down James Kelman. An amazing, technically gifted writer who seems to be constantly underrated in England, as here. Otherwise great podcast.

I was so excited when he signed. I really enjoyed him when he played. He had a better crosS than we have in the team now. Feels like we don't have room for flair players unless they are was good at defending as attacking. See also Encisco.

We must have known his stature when we signed him.

Weiffer was excellent today. O'Riley been good in last couple of games.

Yeah looks that way.

,,,and we risk a bloated squad of players that don't fit in a couple of years. I get the frustration though, especially after last Saturday.

Interesting article but personally don't agree. The assumption here is that our natural place is top ten now and we are sitting on our laurels but wages are king in WPL and we are more like 15th on that. So any top ten finish is up punching about our weight. A call to let managers select players

Baleba was excellent. We just needed him in midfield. Think
crowd getting on players backs didn't help in last 20mins.

We only have 2 strikers since Rutter out. So probably can't risk both on from start. Also Pedro heavily strapped.

I believe the nations league rules for the Euros are different from WC so a play-off win for Scotland would be a big advantage for next euros but not this WC.

That's because exclusively produced central midfielders and full backs.

Didn't know "high protein breakfast" was a selling line in the early 80s

Andrew Watson. A pioneer and a Scotch Professor.

He was born in Guyana, the son of a Scottish sugar planter and a local woman named Hannah Rose.

He became Scotland's first black association footballer, and one of the world's first. He captained Scotland at international level too.

A legend.

It's only the first step though. I expect these rules to be gradually tightened each year. They just can't do it all at once.

It's 75% not 25% as I understand it.

Fair point but picking out women's team and girl's football isn't great. Feels quite calculated and cynical. The estimated cost looks around £500k a year. I doubt we have to axe the women's team to find that.

What percentage of our turnover is taken up by women's and girls football and the academy? Pretty small I'd wager. I wonder how it feels for those players to be used rhetorically in this way.

Not saying there are any alarm bells. Even the best coaches work as part of a team. Just that a more experienced coach may be very helpful for the balance of the coaching team.

Pure speculation, but has the club played it cleverly here. Realised Hurzeler needs help due to inexperience, so brought in a very experienced coach who Hurzeler already knows, keeping job title vague so as not to undermine him.
