Denmark has long prioritized maternal and child health, and as a result of sustained efforts in prenatal screening, vaccination, treatment access and public health surveillance, Denmark has now successfully interrupted the transmission of HIV, Hepatitis B and Syphilis from mothers.

Statens Serum Institut welcomed experts from @who.int and Robert Koch Institute. The team has come to evaluate the Danish application for “Triple Elimination” under the WHO’s initiative for the elimination of transmission of HIV, hepatitis B and syphilis from mothers to their unborn children.
