for niche internet culture there were other places more similar in nature, bodybuilding.com was questionable at times but had a thriving forum and there were guys on a similar wavelength to being "hot dudes" but were more positive about it. can't remember names though.

i do agree however much to peoples' chagrin that with enough hours of play you should be able to discern which slot is which, barring colorblindness.

people have had both issues as two different pain points and i think the clarity on the slot could've been solved by playing with the color/opacity a bit, but conveying what the mod does on it's icon while also showing what slot it is might simply be too much for it's space on the UI

While the old implants needed a bit of readability help, one could figure them out with a little time. The new versions however don’t even look like they came from Marathon and they break up the visual language in a jarring way. I don’t think they are the solution needed.

Marathon’s design and its insistence you learn its language is a huge part of what makes this thing special and chipping away at it like this in favor of cell phone game symbols is probably a bad idea

I’m not gonna front the icon changes that went into marathon today are so ugly and jarring that I cannot believe that the community didn’t even get asked if this was a good change first, left is old right is new. It doesn’t fit the visual language at all. It’s out of place. It’s ugly.

I am the sole person in the camp of “i hope they never remaster bloodborne actually” with how people act when demand 60 fps and act like it’s completely unplayable and needs to be “fixed”

Something I really enjoy about RE9 is that in a universe full of superhero level characters, both men and women, having a character like Grace who is a normal ass person is novel and great

finally beat RE:Requiem and boy. what a fucking masterclass. the 9th mainline game in a franchise becoming one of the best entries.
