Oftentimes, going to therapy, I felt like a spoiled brat who has it all complaining. I couldn't figure out "what's wrong with me". This book had so many answers and is really helping me understand myself and my reaction. If the cover resonates, read it!
In the last episode of WTF with @marcmaron.bsky.social , @barackobama.bsky.social talks about the tendency of all of nothing: if acting doesn't lead to perfection, is it worth it? But what about making things better? If it improves even a little, it's worth doing.

This book is giving me a lot to think about. Definitely seeing how my childhood influenced a lot of my behaviors. Interestingly, I think coming to the US helped me heal. Learning to interact with people who have a different culture taught me to not take things personally.
I think that means you are doing it right.
