Round piece of crochet, circle rows of color interchanging with rows of black. It starts in the middle with yellow, then the colors change from different greens to dark blue to different shades of light blue. The last row is a light jeans blue which has 12 U shaped protusions spaced regularly all around (I hope this is an ok description? don't hesitate to ask)

Starting with row 12 in bright red it was obvious that the yarns were too different, so I had to start over.

The new one will have all the colors of the rainbow interchanging with black, eventually.

This all is very helpful, as I also tend to struggle with alt text.
When I'm not well mentally I'm often out of words and use pictures instead, and alt text is the direct opposite of this 😅
Adding English as a foreign language, alt text often takes me 5-10 minutes and hoping its ok & understandable

The circle of the first rows of crochet on a black table. It starts in the middle with two rounds of rainbow yarn, then rows of black yarn and bright light blue yarn. The blue yarn is only partly visible, like rays or Ts coming from the middle. On the upper side is a part where it looks somewhat lumpy, not symmetrically. Sorry, I can't describe it better.

And since it won't lie flat I should better frog it and start all over again. But I want to see if the yarns and colors work together, first...

I found a Crochet Along that starts today. Seems like I finaly will do a CAL 😁
It's going to be a square mosaic blanket of about 142 cm and runs 8 weeks.
I'm really exited to see if I stay with it or fall off someday...

I normally try to do non-lasting damage to me & to things that are important. To channel carthatic destructiveness into things I'm ok with being destroyed.
Most often painting, scratching the paint, ripping the paper, glueing some together again, painting over it, rinse&repeat. Burning is ok, too

Because the question of filtering out spoilers has come up quite a bit lately, I have tried my hand at a non-spoiler Wheel of Time feed. It's rather basic as it's just grabbing as much stuff related to the Wheel of Time as possible, then removing posts with #spoiler, #wotspoiler, or #wotshowspoiler

For me it's mainly depression making it difficult to keep up communication. And the ex-bird was much to toxic.

With you I know it, the caveat was more for Diego with whom I never interacted before, I think.

But still, with someone who is mentally in not a good place I find it better to be careful and ask. It is so easy to overstep a line accidentally by text online 🌻
