I have a soft spot for the Fairfield Halls in Croydon, I love that period of architecture and it has been sensitively restored. Beyond, new residential blocks and in front of the halls, a bus used for a homeless persons project. #GFX100S #GF30mmTS

Some of you will have seen on my other socials, I have been highlighting the copying of my 2017 book On The Night Bus by photographer Steve Madden and, astonishingly, publisher Gost Books. I have used a version of Gosts own URL to document this > gostbooks.org
Big fan of The Elizabeth Line, spent a decade photographing it :-)
What a dump that hotel is, I know its history etc and expected it to be nice lol.
But it was like a student hostel.
An image from a current commission for an award winning developer. Half way through this job but struggling with the weather. Using passersby to bring the architecture alive. #architecturalstreetphotography
Wow!
Early days on Bluesky but my timeline is full of nature and bird photography. Hopefully that will change as I find my people here :-)
I must clear my diary in the New Year to continue this series on the spaces and structures we create to store our human artefacts. #architecturalstreetphotography #art
I do very much like the Bluesky feature that lets you use your website domain as your Handle, that’s a great idea, especially if you’re running a business 👍
But neither do buses or trains always. I can see the point that’s trying to be made but there are so many ‘it depends’. Bus and train take you to a station, not your final destination. Cost is the main barrier, I live in London where it costs £14/day to travel in and out from the suburbs.
Only most cars take 5 people, so that’s 200 cars?
I’m working on social media story telling for one of my developer clients using stills and audio. I visited this building in Clerkenwell and 3 workmen were in the basement cleaning the mortar from Victorian bricks and I loved the sound of the hammer on the bricks echoing round the walls. Sound on!
