WRC do vital work for a community whose struggles are too often misrepresented by political actors attempting to fuel a culture war. This is an example of how online misinformation creates real danger towards ordinary people, and why it's so important to be vigilant about information we see online.

We're deeply disturbed to see our colleagues at Welsh Refugee Council be subjected to online abuse due to a false, inflammatory claim retweeted by Elon Musk on X.

So, through a series of FOI requests, we found that there has been a 71% increase in the average time 18-25 year-olds are spending in TA, and an increase of 35% for 16-17 year olds.

The EYHC Coalition was established in 2017 on the back of a campaign that prohibited the use of unsupported Temporary Accommodation (TA) for 16-17 year-olds experiencing homelessness.

Almost 8 years later, we wanted to establish a picture of the realities of TA for young people today.
