A pearlescent watercolor painting on black of the jellyfish galaxy JW39 as seen by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope. The galaxy core is seen in golds and whites, with fainter arms punctuated by clusters of blue and pink, aglow with forming stars. This galaxy lies over 900 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices and is part of a galaxy cluster. The intense gravitational pull of its larger neighboring galaxies distorts its shape, and as it drifts through the cluster, hot plasma between galaxies has stripped star-forming gases into long tendrils and ribbons, resembling jellyfish.

For #ArtAdventCalendar day 21, while it’s still day 21… how about a jellyfish galaxy? ASTRAL JELLYFISH, one of my favorites from this Spacetober.

It’s the Peregrine lunar lander getting all set and ready to go to the moon.
Inside the payload space really gives you the scale of how MASSIVE this launch vehicle is.

I’m me if the main reasons I use a camera bag for my work/everything backpack is because it has spots for hardware like this. Static free pockets specifically for sd cards, cables, and other spots. And with the amount of equipment I lug around with me on a day to day basis this is SO HELPFUL!

Here's one for you. I took this last summer on Mauna Kea. That NASA's IRTF, but my little tripod fell over and turned trailing the crescent Moon and Venus into the shot. 🔭

Some people hate me when I say this. I hate cold showers so I wash less. I wash my hair only when it needs to be cleaned. I shower serval times a week but don't wet my hair. With the bleaching, my hair needs all the oil it can get so I just don't over wash it and the color lasts and is healthier.
