I ended up with something quite wistful. Introspective. Lonely, even. But with strong undertones of hope, as if to remind myself that it'll all be okay in the end.

So anyway. By the tail end of last year, I was at the end of my tether. With nothing else to do, I finally buried myself in my studio and vented everything I was feeling into a piece of music.

Amidst it all, there have been moments of beauty. Some joyful. Some... bittersweet. But it's hard to hold onto those moments when practically everything else feels like it's falling apart, one by one. Pretty much every aspect of my life has felt this way over the last year. Periods of immense anticipation and hopeful suspense, all followed by a string of excruciating disappointments, dead ends, and personal failures.

I've often felt like a tiny sparrow teetering on the edge of a towering cliff. Gazing into the infinite blue sky, longing to feel its embrace... yet also painfully aware of the sheer drop below.
