2026-03-18: Reverse TweetedAt: Determining Tweet ID prefixes from Timestamps The Web Science and Digital Libraries Research Group at Old Dominion University.

The first part (left-to-right) of a tweet ID encoded the datetime that it was tweeted. @tarannum44.bsky.social of @webscidl.bsky.social has released an expansion of our early tool, TweetedAt, that takes datetimes of varying granularity and returns a tweet prefix.

This work was started by William & Mary undergrad. Greatness-Emmanuel King (now at MicroSoft). We were quite unlucky with reviewers until our Romans 9:16 moment.

Identifying where local news covers requires disambiguating toponyms (Paris Texas vs. Paris France?) & identifying geo-foci. We contribute to both.

Our model can help assess shifts from local to national narratives, & more broadly provide primitives for local media research

* Behavior change is consistent for authentic users
* Social bots exhibit either very low or very high behavioral change
* Coordinated inauthentic accounts exhibit highly similar distributions of behavioral change within the same campaign, but diverse across campaigns

Paris, France or Paris, Virginia, or Paris, Texas.
