I’m truly sorry you lost your pup. My dog died rather expectedly (he’d out-survived a cancer diagnosis for two years living his best life) 2.5 years ago and I’m still not okay. It was and remains the deepest cutting loss I’ve experienced.

I was told that Congress was finally back in session today.

How, exactly, are we going to be able to tell?

I mean, I wouldn’t be mad about it.

Already planning my trip to watch it be torn down.

Our government’s priorities are entirely backward. And purposefully so.

I don’t mean to sound extreme, but I don’t think we should have torture camps for people with criminal records either.

I know we’re all fighting as hard as we’re able to right now. But can we just take a minute to acknowledge that this moment in time makes us sad That sometimes it’s hard to fight when all we can feel is sad for what is happening and all that we’re losing.

I am deeply ashamed to be an American right now. And looking back, I should have been ashamed far sooner. Truly ashamed. We will never come back from this in my lifetime. Nor should we. I didn’t vote for him, but we are culpable.
