Thanks to a certain someone, I’m constantly getting cut. I used to be careful when I was donating blood, but ever since I had to stop because of my asthma and stroke, I’ve given up and now my life is full of cuts.

My glasses were loose, so I had them adjusted at the store.
My favorite thing about riding the train is watching the kids pressed up against the windows of the lead car.
I went to the dentist for the first time in over a decade. I couldn’t wait for the chair to rise, so I sat up using my abdominal muscles.
Every now and then, I go to see the apartment where I used to live. Strangers now live in that apartment. The space on the floor below used to be an accounting firm, but at some point it turned into a hair salon, and now it’s a curry restaurant. The coffee shop I used to frequent is gone.
My cat pretends to cover food it doesn't like with sand.
I make a point of reviewing the to-do list I wrote at the start of the year at least once a month. I also often look back at my illustrated diary and planner. I feel that the value of these records increases with every time I revisit them.
The weather is nice and the clover is thriving, so I’d like to organize a four-leaf clover hunt soon.
I went to a nearby dentist’s office that was empty and deserted, but it was fully booked.
The gray heron wasn’t moving at all, so I watched it for a while, wondering if it might be a fake. It made me realize once again that animals are only truly animals when they move.
The red pine saplings are slowly but surely growing taller. I carefully moisten the soil with a spray bottle to avoid overwatering. Perhaps people who love bonsai aren’t just drawn to their appearance, but also enjoy these meticulous tasks.
My cat seems embarrassed when I catch him using the litter box.
Roads were originally places for people and animals to pass through. Then bicycles came along, followed by cars and trains, and now people walk along the edges of the road. Are people going against the road, or is the road going against people? Lately, I find myself thinking about the human way.
My cat sleeps all the time, but only acts affectionate when I'm about to leave.
Nemophila seems to be quite popular; even on weekdays, the area is bustling with people taking photos. Though they are flowers, they look almost like water—it really is a picturesque scene.
My floaters are so bad that I can't tell them apart from real mosquitoes.
Is there some theory behind online advertising that suggests the more it offends viewers, the more effective it becomes? It just seems like both advertisers and consumers are losing out. Street advertisements, on the other hand, are straightforward and fine.
I got free tickets to the opening game of the Japanese American football league.
Perhaps because I didn’t have many memories of going to amusement parks when I was little, I don’t think I took my own children there very often either. Watching everyone having such a good time, I couldn’t help but feel a little regretful.
When I go running in the mountains, I bring instant noodles and hot water with me to eat at the summit.
I have the day off today. Since things are about to get a little busy for me, I’m making it a rule to take at least one day off a week. Maybe I’ll go for a run in the mountains for the first time in a while.
When I eat soba or udon, the green onions left at the bottom of the bowl taste especially good.
Yesterday, after the rain stopped, I went out for a jog and saw a fiery sunset. It was as if the rain had washed everything clean.
It’s been four years since my divorce, but letters and packages still sometimes arrive at my old house.
Lately, I’ve been looking at the trees I never used to pay much attention to, thinking how nice it would be if my own bonsai could look like that. Perhaps interest and curiosity come after we take action.
My cat no longer minds being held, and he strokes my face affectionately. But he’s forgotten to retract his claws.
I imagine there must be plenty of people for whom sweeping up fallen cherry blossom petals is an annual tradition. I hope they were able to truly enjoy the cherry blossoms. People have both their public and private sides.
I keep getting sales calls from an insurance company on my cell phone, so I want to cancel my phone number.
The cherry blossoms have fallen quite a bit. As I gazed at the petals on the ground, I noticed that the clover is getting stronger and stronger. I found about ten four-leaf clovers yesterday, too.
I bought a lot of small pots and planted red pine seedlings in them.
