Thanks! An advantage of this having happened a few times is that I've gotten a lot better at just playing the game in front of me regardless of matchup or record, and taking breaks between matches to reset

Another 7-2 in the showcase challenge, worse breakers than last time so I ended up 19th. Frustrating that I keep losing early rounds and then going on a run after that! Anyway, deck still good, had some really good matches and I'm very happy with my play today. Matchups in replies, decklist in alt.

And finally, the finished painting for this promo art of Walk the Plank is my favorite thing that I own. Moeller's art has resonated with me since I was a kid just getting into the game, and having one of his pieces on the wall is such a joy. The crop on the card does not do it justice.
Yorion D&T has been the only deck I've played seriously since 2021. I've had more success and enjoyment in playing and tuning these lists than anything else I've ever played. I absolutely love the deck and being part of the community around it.
And then I started learning D&T in 2017? maybe 2018 and was again quickly hooked on the deck, but I chose port because of how versatile it is, deciding when to use it vs develop, what to target, when to change targets, what phase of the turn to use it, WHOSE turn to use it on. My kind of card.
Liliana and Therapy are my favorite designs ever. Those cards and Thoughtseize feature in the majority of my deck choices. I love the puzzle identifying what's important, resource management and multi-turn decision trees. After I moved away from Nic Fit I stuck with Zenith and Liliana in 4c Loam
I was handed a fully proxied BUG Nic Fit deck after a draft one night and I Pernicious Deed'd an affinity player out of the building and was instantly hooked on the deck and format
Burning Wish Scapeshift was THE deck I played for years afterwards, including an 11-4 at my first ever GP (NJ, 2014)

I like it a lot less when I'm playing it in paper that's for sure
I'd add on that turn 1 Guide has been pretty impactful as an early play to either demand interaction or give you a life buffer/apply counter-pressure in matchups like Energy, Eldrazi and UR Cutter, which are not bad matchups but can have some really tight games where 2-3 life makes a big difference

4-3, one loss thanks to the most backbreaking Karakas I've ever had happen to me from @boshnroll.bsky.social, then two crushing losses to my removal just not showing up against UW Riddler and then clobbered by the JPA93 the SnS master himself.
I liked my deck choices though, wouldn't change a thing
The life buffer from guide and from not playing thoughtseize makes matchups like Eldrazi and Energy feel a lot less volatile, and you can turn the corner fast with Broadside. This feels much more midrange than the control-heavy BW shell, which is certainly still a good option. Really fun too! ggs
