A certain very popular game podcast did this and it was probably the moment I went "they're probably too stupid to continue listening to"

I'm enjoying all these immensely, droqen
... is not to make it seem like it was written in America. In English? Sure, but the culture is the culture. Don't change that.
... incredible sense, Americans are even patronising to themselves, because why the fuck wouldn't they be able to understand simple Japanese concepts like the san suffix, or people called by their last name if they are not super familiar?
Stop localizing. Don't do bad translations, but the ideal...
... to become 'I'm home!". In that sense, they see Japan as being above them, needing to be brought down. Other cultures, on the other hand, are subconsciously below Americans. Maybe they take pity on them? Or feel like they can comprehend them from above? Abuelos can stay abuelos.
In an almost ...
... I asked my girlfriend, and she immediately had an idea that kinda resonated: Japan is 'othered' in a "respectful" way, as in: it's put on a piedestal for it's "incomprehensible beauty". In nooo way can Americans comprehend the mystery of Japan. They need otousans to become dads, and tadaimas...
... whereas words from other cultures, like saying 'namaste' or 'abuelo' are kept in the original language.
I agree, this is weird, but I can't quite understand why it happens. Why do especially American localisers need so urgently to "translate" Japanese, but other cultures must be respected? ...
Someone on Bluesky wrote how it's curious that Japanese is handled differently in English translations. Words like 'itadakimasu' and 'tadaima' always seemingly need a translation, despite them being concepts that are perfectly understandable once you experience the culture (even through media)...
Without seeing the colors... Do we maybe have too many little blonde girl in Danish games?
(I'm part of the problem)
Bare rolig, jeg fangede det godt ;)
Godt klaret danske biblioteker. Vi gemmer dette, men ikke et eneste spilblad.

Got a new nintendo 64 stick on the mail yesterday, and a gba flash card.
Unfortunately, it seems Super FW can't handle the Mother 3 translation yet.
Still...
a major case of "lol". Didn't remember pledging that at all. Not the worst game to play twice!
Never saw this before. Thanks. Real interesting piece of history here.

We're gonna see a crazy Quest 64 looking future
It's starting to get a very unique atmosphere. Well done!
Damn that's harsh. I only watched one or two episodes and thought it was real boring and maybe bad, but couldn't figure out if I just wasn't the audience.
Oh how I wanted our game to have animations :D i don't think our engine could handle it though
Did you know Mark Zuckerberg invented the Turing Test as an impossiple test, to show that no one could prove they're human.
"N- no, Mark. It's... It's just you."
Huh, I think you found the actual connection between Doom and Animal Crossing.
Witchbrawl 2: Wizard City - The Tarot Instinct
(Music is Haku)
We didn't have time to make music. Sound effects can come later, but I encourage you to put on Haku, Mew, and Clammbon while playing Witchbrawl 2.

That's great! It deserves all the love it can get!
The clean pixel art doesn't seem made for CRT, so something disappears with the filter, but the 3d graphics GAIN texture from the filter. If the game let me mix and match, I'd do that :D
I once insinuated that Sparks of Hope is the game God of War: Ragnarok wishes it could be. I'll let you ponder that one.
