I play poker with a bunch of white guys and they were talking about how they gauge the economy by the stock market and I suggested that that's how rich people gauge the economy and they all yelled at me that they're not rich and I sighed.

I've always felt that the Chronicles suffered from the renumbering of the volumes. Much of my enjoyment of The Magician's Nephew came from the discovery of the history of an already familiar place.

The Last Battle was the first book I ever read in a day. I was around 13.
