The second the mics were off though………..
We need to stop accepting views expressed on Twitter as real opinions. The sooner everyone assumes that the median post on that website is done in bad faith and principally designed to chase clout, the sooner we stop letting these fake controversies take up all the oxygen in the room.
glad yall are spending so much time wringing your hands over this guy then!!!!!!!
lmao
I’m old enough to remember when this game came out 14 years ago and everyone was like “lol what a stupid-ass name, why would anyone say that with a straight face” and now we hear that word like six times a day
I’m not sure if I’ve just effectively insulated myself from Discourse but it is interesting that there doesn’t seem to be Massive Loser Outrage about Brie Larson re: MARIO GALAXY
console lifespans being longer and people generally being more stupid than ever means every switch 2 game announcement is met with a chorus of “it’s anti-consumer that this isn’t on switch 1 too” comments. i think some people genuinely have no idea what the purpose of a new console is
I think this is sort of a powerful moment in the simpsons that is applicable to our current time in many ways
Sorry to quote to dunk, I really am. I just read this and needed to get it out of my brain if I was going to sleep tonight
Here’s a question: If you vote THEN make it clear what your policy preferences are, why are the candidates spending all that money on a fucking campaign where they talk about what they’re going to do in exchange for your vote
To celebrate our 60fps upgrade of Yooka-Replaylee on Switch 2, we're giving away an alternate cover copy of the game to two lucky winners!

true crime brain has fucked people up so bad and they get really mad when you point that out. and also that the entire true crime industry is predatory and exploitative
giggity
It’s inaccurate to say Mario is brave and Luigi is cowardly
Luigi is afraid of death, so he runs away from danger. Mario is afraid of living, so he runs towards death. Both brothers are cowards in their own way
This is single handedly the funniest scene from any Star Trek
whew. my close personal friend grogu is safe
Mog the moogle, from Final Fantasy; a little cat guy with bat wings and a poofy red ball floating on a little antenna above his noggin.
Yeah, I love mogging

I feel like Diddy Kong under the effects of the disease
I haven’t watched this but I think a lot of people will read a blurb or a promo clip on Instagram and immediately assume they understand the entirety of what a thing is about
It’s so weird that you have shows and movies that come in the near-immediate aftermath that do address it - I’m thinking of SUPERSTORE just being like “well they all mask and distance and hang outside” in its last season - but then it’s like everyone goes “ok no more” in, idk, 2022
It’s the “please get back to work” that gets me most. Can’t stop Producing even when one of your colleagues is literally dying

SEGA GENESIS
Someone else said it but also other stuff like: Uncancelling STARFLEET ACADEMY, doing some kind of follow-ups to PRODIGY and LOWER DECKS if not outright reviving them too. All shows have longer seasons and come out every year like clockwork, like THE PITT
Real talk: A show that is to the TNG era what TNG was to TOS. A new ship, mostly new crew, far enough in the future to have a lot of space to color with. Largely episodic adventures, 15+ episode seasons
Regulate corporations, not people. Start by regulating the use of algorithms to deliver content, don’t allow ads/paid targeting anyone under 16, platform culpability for the spread of misinformation on, require limits on engagement-based user experience design, etc.
