A black and white cat sits in a blue carry-on bag, staring out with a thousand-yard stare, not a single thought in that tiny head.
This goober.
It's from the deli, so while I assume their scales are not traceable to NIST calibration, when they say 1.15lbs I still tend to believe it's close enough. The slices are still comically small, there's just more of them.
Sliced cheese we got from the store this week is *noticeably* smaller, almost comically so, from the same slices we usually get. I'd blame shrinkflation, but it's still sold by weight soooooo 🤷
There is a literal mariachi band pumping music through giant speakers across the river, and we can hear it quite well hundreds of yards away. Sounds quite fun, but this late at night, not exactly the best time.
I want to believe that the science ship Tsiolkovsky that goes missing in Wing Commander II is the same one that gives the Enterprise the sex virus in Star Trek The Next Generation.
Literally haven't turned on my PC since the 6th. Finally have time and energy to play games again and I'm stumped as to what to play. Feels like it's been forever.
Ron Meischker, founder of the Philadelphia Area Gaming Expo and Concoction, will with joining us at Ecclesicon May 1&2 in Palmyra, NJ.
It's hotter here than where we just left, and I haven't even prepped the AC even a little bit as it's still only April. Still, though, we're finally home. Currently enjoying all the kitten snuggles.
Right-wing woman in front of me to random dude passing by: "Hey, I like your shirt".
Her friend to her, confused: "What did it say?"
Woman: "Freedom"
Just the lamest people.
Nothing hits like a ride through the lettuce.
After leaving on vacation for a bit, taking a break from the world I was in, there's this intense desire to change my life such that I barely recognize what it was before. A time to take stock and make major changes. But what changes, I haven't figured out.
Just had a corn dog, encased in a pickle, then deep fried. Served with peanut butter. I rather liked it, surprising myself. Reminded me of these spicy dill flavored peanuts I had before that I also really liked. So, yeah, I'm convinced.
Alright, I'm convinced. Pickle and peanuts are a solid flavor combination.
Went for a quick walk to get drinks and ran into someone with a heavy Irish accent, then chatted up someone with a heavy British accent, and finally someone with a deep southern accent. I told my wife about the accentedness of everyone I ran into, but today zilch. None. Go figure.
Cold beer you say?

The First Order didn't like it, though.
Absolutely this. The haters - especially the political-haters - are going to hate regardless, might as well keep expanding IPs, being creative, and pushing limits. I always like when new stuff is tried, most times despite all the negativity. Expanding is good.
Ehhh, I absolutely prefer streaming, the ability to watch stuff when I like instead of needing to be by the TV at an exact time is key. New TV discovery isn't as good, but I don't really need as much new stuff now that I'm older.
A dark blue Star Wars shirt, with multiple ships flying down, their trails forming the symbol of the rebels in a bright rainbow.
I've had multiple compliments on my shirt today.
"If you were in charge of Star Trek what would you do?"
Hire much smarter, more creative people and give them the room to make mistakes and try new things and guarantee three seasons from the outset.
Make slow-burn Trek, thrilling Trek, hilarious Trek, let’s make a delightful wondrous mess :)
Staying where we have cable TV and Little Ocho is enthralled because we don't have it and it's showing him all these shows he's never seen before. The kids, they yearn for the days pre-streaming.
Yeah, probably not, then. Dude was a spot-on look-a-like, though. I did a triple take when I saw him.
Maybe, maybe not, who knows, just saw Jason Kelce - or a good look-a-like - in the security line in front of us.
Truly the worst part about being a real fan of anything these days, if you love a thing, but don't like a part of that thing, suddenly it feels like you're on the same side of bigots who hate everything because how dare it contains a woman/LBGT/black person/moral lesson/etc.
By the way, doing some spring cleaning today and I came across the card you sent me for Christmas. Made me smile. Put it in the keep pile.
I'm still going to say chickenshit. If he wasn't ready, he shouldn't have even been looking. That's just leading people on and a shitty thing to do.
Leaving to head to the airport in ~7 hours. So, uhhh, time to pack!
Don't worry, my wife went back today to get her hair cut, had the same stylist I did, and got her Twitch handle again. For those curious: RoyalBlu20.

No! Hahahaha!
