Today is day 139 of the ICE occupation of MN.
If ICE hasn’t come to your city or town yet, let us tell you: NOW is the time to organize.
Build trusting relationships. Get folks into Signal groups now, based on trust and connections. It will make what comes next so, so much easier.

What do giant puppets have to do with a film festival?
Shut up. That’s what.
It's not over in Minneapolis! It's not over in Minnesota! ICE is still here, even if they're quieter and using somewhat different tactics.
I feel this in my bones. You cannot look at what Minneapolis and the rest of the metro has been through this year and claim everyday Americans aren't fighting back.
We may not have won yet, but we are not going quietly into authoritarianism. Not while we've still got our whistles.

Donations to help our neighbors are slowing down, but the need is still there! If you can pitch in some funds, that would be greatly appreciated!
These friends also need volunteer help on Saturday, 4/11 at 12pm to pack groceries to deliver. If you can help, please DM for details!
It’s day 123 of the ICE occupation of MN.
Minnesota is out of the headlines, but ICE continues to abduct our neighbors- their tactics have just changed.
I just watched this four times, it’s so perfect.
My kid’s friend said “oh hey I think wood-burning fireplaces are way better than gas, this is awesome!”
it’s gas, I make no apologies
“Blah,” said Toad.
It’s such a nightmare, not just the material damage but psychological. Everyone has moved on, yet there are hundreds if not thousands of people who can’t leave their homes because they’re traumatized after being openly hunted for three months. i just want to burn the earth.
Man, the effects of the ICE occupation are vast and ongoing. A family I am helping, like so many others, is trying to figure out how to rebuild their lives. Trying to make rent, needing to find work, adjusting to an existence without family members. There may be less ICE but these are huge wounds.
Reader, I sighed & then teared up. This is such massive help. $16 million helps 2,750 families cover rent through June. He’s trying to raise the other half. And the dude also delivered laundry during the siege.
Opinions: are they good? Starting to think no, they’re not.

I have more to say." -Jane Fonda jokingly shares her thoughts about Barbra Streisand's emotional tribute to Robert Redford during the 2026 Oscars

This is a powerful letter from Minneapolis Legislative Delegation asking Mayor Frey to sign Pause Evictions, Save Lives.
16/17 state legislators who represent Minneapolis signed onto this letter. It’s time for Mayor Frey to sign this ordinance and support our immigrant neighbors.
Reposting bc I can't stop thinking about the fact that, as a homeowner, I apparently deserve more than 6 months if I am in crisis and need to figure out how to get the money together to stay in my housing but my neighbors who rent apparently only deserve 30 days.
An opinion that makes you a fringe radical in this country is that the life of a person who is not an American citizen is not an abstraction, and is worth just as much as that of an American citizen
“immigrant communities attacked by the federal government will lose their homes” if mayor frey vetoes the bill to prevent evictions, says osman. “we have been attacked. a lot of immigrants were not able to go to work, even US citizens. vetoing this means you are not standing with the immigrants.”
Thank you, friend.
Thank you, Betsy!
Since the national media stopped paying attention to Minnesota, donations have absolutely cratered. There's so much more work to be done. Please ... don't look away.
Minnesota immigrant families are coming out of hiding from ICE, but the damage is done: jobs lost, savings gone, loved ones deported.
Recovery will take time. My neighbor group is still providing mutual aid to 44 households. Can you help?

This was just mentioned, first I had heard about it. 110 songs from Minnesota artists, and money raised goes to mutual aid efforts. It's bandcamp Friday and your dollars will go even further today!

Holy shit
Someone told me the other day they are spending time reflecting on what it means to be "an elder" and I was like, oh god, IT ME
Our little standwithminnesota.com team staved off multiple evictions today. I’m so proud of us. And the stories are so heartbreaking, and there’s still so much need.
If you can help, I’ll get it directly where it needs to go.
