i def agree that he feels bad about it but i also don't think he's opposed to playing the malice of the character because he tries to trick people. it's not just raw instinct, it's a role he actively plays and i think the ring would encourage that behavior. it's an inverse don quixote scenario

i think the ring could convince someone to find beauty in their own instincts especially if theyre already making the active decision to indulge them. in his flavor text his genuine regret vs manipulative tendencies are both deliberately kept vague so its unclear exactly how malicious he actually is

fauvist movement just came out, and their focus seems to be treating animals and generally predatory violent animal instinct as works of art in their own rite. it works well with wolf and i wanted to draw my favorite character as part of my favorite faction
