Client's security training doc is a PDF that was rammed through Gemini to get it translated to french.
I'm at the "Use malware and keep it up to date" directive, it's going great.

You can't convince me this isn't ruby on rails
A medical office needs to *work* to end up with smelly cleaning supplies too 🙃
Like, the same supplier who brings the rest of their medical consumables will happily provide purpose-appropriate cleaning products. Cleaning/laundry services know what to do with healthcare clients as well.
Famously, everything announced at the White House actually happens
Sucker Punch is a movie about the power of interpretive dance
I *think* the latest popular jailbreak supports all firmware versions.
I've used it to install KOReader on mine (Paperwhite from ~2015) and that lets me treat it like any modern (non-Amazon) e-reader.
*eyeing some tall trees*
I'll make my house out of their bones
Ha ha April Fool. You've actually been having a bizarre dream and it is in fact 1996 right now. We are all going to go watch the new Coen Brothers movie 'Fargo' later. I will call you on your phone that is attached to a wall and can't make you insane later.
Ditto on a sunrise clock to wake up.
I have the most bog-standard Philips thing, it lights up over 30 minutes, and birds start chirping at the 30 minute mark if I'm not up.
This said: I have a young kid now. If it's early morning, *something* will pull me out of bed quick enough.
I think the idea of the receive side is to change directions if long is followed by short (or vice versa).
It's why F is to the left of its branch, while Z is straight down.
I'm waiting to see how many people have written to the Wachowskis asking "DID YOUR SCRIPT GET LEAKED"
A lot of people doing cocaine who have never done cocaine and are not aware they are doing cocaine but they definitely sayin' cocaine shit

Trying to be the *faster* option in a market where the competition is already pushing performative hubris as compliance.
With that quoted client, the CEO was 100% sold on the promise that somehow, there was a 10-hour shortcut to an expected thousand-hour process.

Oh, interesting!
My (cynical) interpretation is that the wording was probably used to be reassuring while it wasn't really binding, then a later lawyer judged it could make them vulnerable.
You have to be legally granted a *lot* of permissions to verb the nouns when you host. I think that ~maps with what other providers have.
Copy, reproduce, distribute, display, publish, store, perform: that's hosting, CDNs, delivery
Modify, adapt, create derivatives: compression (even just gzip)
Firefighter issues! Companies have that a ton (fix nothing, wait for someone to "heroically" step in, promote or celebrate the self-inflicted savior)
It's great for hiding a complete lack of strategy behind ~intensity~ and ~decisive action~
One thing that AI evangelists seem to assume, particularly legal AI evangelists assume, is that the thinking and analysis is quick, and the writing is just tedious busywork that slows us down.
But the writing IS the thinking and analysis. You work out the thinking and analysis by writing it down.
Pretty much 100% of them are radio programs that happen to be digitally distributed, yep 😂
I'm with you there. The list of programs I trust to be good is just a small number instead of zero 🤷♂️
lol, fair. I narrowed it down to "commuting alone" as an answer to this:
> and just having to sit there? silently? LISTENING?
So not sitting, not idle. Personally, it's the one moment I listen, otherwise my podcast time would be zero.
I have a 30 minute walk to and from my office, I enjoy listening during that time on some weekdays. I suspect a lot of people listen when they commute alone?
For anyone who has the 2026 2nd gen Apple Studio Display (not XDR), does it work with macOS Sequoia (15.7.4)?
Please only reply if you can directly confirm that it works (or doesn’t).
(The specs say it requires macOS 26 but who knows if that’s true.)
Or you can force your developers to use AI and then have an all-hands about not actually shipping that code please
A screenshot from the Microsoft Teams app. The main title is blurred out and indicated as "Name of a meeting I had 18 months ago" The Activity tab is selected, and its title is "activity_app_name" with underscores, like a translation string that wasn't found. All the tab contains is the string "activity_feed_empty_list_message" in an empty gray space.
If you have around $100B in AI capex, you too can build this app
I finally lost my shit about so-called AIs, LLMs, enshittification & everything fucking evil that @officialgrammarly.bsky.social is doing. I'm fucking furious, and not just about what 1 company has done. An open letter to Grammarly & the rest of the LLM hype machine www.moryan.com/an-open-lett...
Right now, I'm not getting the issue anymore when I install fresh from brew (28.0.2) and let auto-update do its thing.
Tahoe 26.3 here. The "downloaded from the Internet" configuration is more restrictive now, but I've initially installed Polypane from the website download without any issue.
I think the signing issue started at the same time as the auto-update thing, when I manually downloaded the new version.
I guess the long history makes it feel less like a trend food
Maybe if you could choose some in place of the brown rice or quinoa
That latest auto-update works, thank you!
For what it's worth, I had to de-quarantine the app (from the terminal, then from the Privacy settings) after downloading and moving it to my apps folder. That's been the case for a few versions.
