Well, that was intense. Excellent show at Soho place theatre - the first stage adaptation of Le Carré's The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. Bravo.

Although it’s fiction there’s a really interesting book from @aspyalone.bsky.social on this called “A spy alone” which explores exactly this topic in the modern age through the eyes of someone who recently retired from about 20 years inside of SIS and was very familiar with the topic in real life.
