Bluesky doesn't have a set algorithm. Of course it's going to be bad, if you're just using the defaults. There are so many other algorithms you can use, that if you start to use it right, and tag your posts, it's much better

the most devastating experience for me is finding an amazing artist at a con and the artist Only has instagram on their business card. no bluesky no furaffinity, no tumblr or deviantart. Only instagram.

I wouldn't call having to open one menu in the top corner, then clicking settings and going to the clearly labeled "AI features" tab hidden tbh
