I was actually at the con where they made the announcement,but with my kids so nowhere near the panel. I saw a surprising number of Jaynes, and a lot of Kaylees, Malcolms, and a few Wash.
I agree that a live action remake would not make sense at this point,either. Although I enjoyed the jokes I saw about Wash having a long lost twin, Dry.
