Yes they are! Geotab who support us monitor batteries in commercial fleets, and their data shows a ~2% degradation per year, in the likes of Amazon delivery vans etc. The vehicles will be scrapped before the batteries will hit their min manufacturing warranty %, 100’s of thousands of kms

And we completely agree with that, while we are advocating for EV adoption we also understand that not everyone can switch now, and for many it can be say, 10 years or more from now before it could be a reality for them!
Hopefully you can mind yourself and make the most of what you have!
No, not then! While the cheapest Nissan Leaf’s are getting down to €2.5/3k, it’s still a jump in price, and arguably not the best EV alternative to take. Can’t argue to that!
Yes pricing is getting there thankfully. Cheapest new car for sale is EV, in fact the two cheapest are EV (Dacia & Hyundai), and DoneDeal motors show that for their March of this year that EVs are 11% below comparable diesel vehicle prices.
It’s getting there, and getting even more affordable!
EV pricing in the current climate - How has EV pricing has changed in the past 12 months and how it compares to petrol and diesel here and now.
Currently, EV is still the most affordable fuel source per km, and the most stable for pricing and supply.

We participated in the @ZEVIreland Stakeholder Forum yesterday. Two key points were that much infrastructure's coming this year, & that highly anticipated legislative change can be expected in several months (yes, that includes cross-pavement charging)...

With the test they drove the vehicles on the motorway until it reached a low State-of-Charge (SoC) on the motorway and then came off the motorway to continue the test down to 0% SoC and beyond. Read on to see how they got on, and what cars have a buffer at 0%, and what one's don't!!!

The majority were new vehicles, but some older models with some high kms on the clock were also tested. A nice mix and with these conditions, truly a tough test!

Through our engagement with GEVA, The Hungarian E-mobility Association (ELMOB) have shared a very interesting test they have done taking 31 EVs and driving them on the motorway (at proper 130 km/h speed, the legal limit in Hungary) until they died, at around 0°C. 1/4

The @tullamoreretailpark Charging Hub is now live; with 10 CCS it's @ePowerie largest public charging hub & also one of the largest in the midlands. We stopped by to cover what it has to offer EV drivers.

It's January 2026, time to see how charging infrastructure's developed over the course of 2025.
It proved to a big year for getting hardware into the ground, so check out the article to find out what changed as we examine multiple aspects of the data - location, charging speed, CPO’s, & more.
The often overlooked CHAdeMO connectors also saw an increase as well, in their case with a 7% increase, an additional 30 connectors
We'd a cursory look at the numbers for 2025, & we're seeing that the number of CCS connectors available increased 43%, from 1,039 to 1,487
ESB ecars launched their latest 8 vehicle high power charging hub at Frascati Centre yesterday.

Today's International Day of Persons with Disabilities, so we'd like to draw attention to ZEVI's Universal Design Guidelines, which "aim to make EV charging infrastructure accessible to all users, summarising key considerations when designing, installing and operating EV charging infrastructure"
Happy to report that ePower took on Aldi, i.e. Shell Recharge, nationwide. A number of locations remain to be moved over though majority will appear for you on their app at this point.
Not sure if your location uses such chargers?
Check the Shell Recharge or Everon app (while they still work), or head on over to Open Charge Map & use the search filters. 3/3
