This May Day, it’s Workers Over Billionaires!! On May 1, Indivisible Cortland County is co-sponsoring with multiple other organizations a May Day National Day of Protest in Syracuse. Join us as we come together and celebrate this historic day through action and community.
Please gather in front of the Village Green for a few words and then continue on a twilight stroll through the village, quietly remembering Giuffre and the many others who have been victims of sexual abuse.

The most prominent survivor of sexual abuse inflicted by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell among others, Giuffre dedicated her life to holding abusers accountable. Since her passing, millions have shared their stories of survival, healing, and recovery.
One Year Later: Honoring Virginia Roberts Giuffre 🦋
On Saturday, April 25 at 7:45 pm in Homer, a lantern vigil will take place in memory of the life and legacy of Virginia Roberts Giuffre. This event coincides with a national commemoration in Washington DC on the 1st anniversary of Giuffre’s death.
The Bread and Puppet website includes the following information: “If you would like to see the show and do not have a ticket, you are welcome to line up at the door the day of. If there is more space or if ticket-holders don’t show up, we will do our best to get you in. But no guarantees.”
