Yep! They have allowed three SHGs in a single game 5
times so would guess it’s happened a few other times. Still not good ha!

Happened at least one other time, April 7, 2006, allowed two on the same power play against Carolina. They also allowed another for good measure later in the game.

I want to say they have, but that likely was when they were in the expansion era when anything was possible. But will check.

This year? The standings are so weird that the Capitals are six out of first overall in the East despite being in 12th place. Normal year six out is probably third in the division.

Yep, and the guys who turned out decent in the Soto deal are already on the block. Difference between 2012 and now is at least the Nationals spent money to bolster the young lineup. Now they seem committed to pushing the reset button. Again.
