True mate. Big fan of minimalism. π

George Orwell couldn't have said it better. ;)
It does. When I was a kid, my dad took us camping in a canvas army surplus tent. These days, I can carry enough for multiday camps on the back of the Himalayan. And, like you, people do the same on a pushbike. Y'all make me look bad. π
I'm prepping my Himalayan 411 for a 1200km tour and questioning everything I'm taking with me. Turns out the trip starts in the garage, not at the end of the driveway.

I'd do the same thing. π
Reading Arendt's *The Banality of Evil*. Fuck she was brave to write this. Lots of perspective on modern tribalism and evil wearing the mask of good.
Cheers mate. π
Dalma in particular is pleased. Despite growing up in Romania, she's Hungarian and thought this day wouldn't come.
We are celebrating the end of the OrbΓ‘n era.
Goodbye OrbΓ‘n, you fascist arse.
Technically, John United States, but hey, even pendants like me take your point. π

That's a serious rake there.
Sweet bag. π
Ah shit. That sucks. I've been there too. It took me a while to forgive my ex. Sending him good vibrations.
(Hell, I ride a thumper. I don't have an option. π)
Yep, I agree mate. Non-riders pour enough shit on us for our decisions, without riders joining in.
Hope your mate is doing ok.
Ah fuck it.
Yep. Life leads you where you need to be. :)
I get that, mate. I've too much time policing my own life without worrying about other people's. π
I agree mate. Everything you do leads you to this point...where you're able to try something extraordinary. π
The 450 Sherpa is similar enough to the LS411 that it feels at home for me. But that low purr of the 350 is mighty contentful. π
It's a very satisfying sound that re 350 engine. π
Someone recently told returning riders they'd wasted thirty years. It came from a good place. But it handed them a comparison they didn't ask for, and a version of their life they failed to live. That's not encouragement. That's pity with a smile on it

Nice! Decent bit of air there, Jamie. π
Yep. Frees you from the productivity trap mate. And just lets you...be...you know?
Yeah, man. Me too. All my life, I've been fascinated with getting as much as I can out of small limited things. As a composer, I wrote for small ensembles, not big ones. As a pianist, I played in duos or trios, not larger bands. I guess that's carrying over into motorcycling. That's the Himi. β€οΈ
Yep. Sri Lanka in Jan. Was a couple of 150cc Yamahas. Thailand in 2024 was a couple of 155cc scooters. I'd totally ride a c90 across the Nullarbor. π
