What I’ve mostly observed is that dudes coaching elementary AAU teams really like getting trophies.

I’ve seen some kids on opposing teams behave bad. They’re kids, self regulation is a process. I can’t imagine storming up to a random kid and chastising them. I saw a dude in a “final boss” hat do that today and I’m still shocked.

There is not much more pathetic than adults who get massively in their feelings at youth sports games and scream at refs, kids, opposing coaches, etc., but as my kids get deeper into sports it’s shocking how common it is.
